This is honestly one of the hardest things I’ve had to write, but I want to be real with you and not avoid what needs to be said. I’m really sorry—for everything. For the way I’ve treated you at times, for not being the boyfriend you deserved, and for the hurt I know I’ve caused. You came into my life and gave me something real. You cared about me, supported me, and put your heart into us. And the truth is, I didn’t always take care of that the way I should have. I didn’t always show up for you, I didn’t always listen, and I didn’t always give you the love and consistency you deserved. That’s something I’ll always regret. As much as it hurts to say this, I don’t think it’s fair to you to keep going like this. You deserve someone who is sure, someone who shows up for you fully, someone who doesn’t make you question your worth or where you stand. Right now, I haven’t been that person, and I don’t want to keep hurting you by trying to hold onto something I’m not handling the right way. This isn’t because you’re not enough—because you are. You’ve always been enough. This is about me realizing that I need to grow, and I shouldn’t be doing that at the cost of your happiness or your peace. You deserve better than what I’ve been giving you, and I care about you too much to keep putting you through that. I’m so sorry for the pain this might cause you. That’s the last thing I ever wanted to do. I hate knowing that I’ve hurt you, and I hate that this decision will probably hurt too. But I believe it’s the right thing, even if it’s not the easy thing. Please don’t think any of this takes away from what we had. You meant a lot to me, and you still do. The time we spent together, the memories, everything—we were real. And I’ll always appreciate that. I hope one day you find someone who gives you everything you deserve without hesitation—someone who loves you the way you’ve always deserved to be loved. And I’m sorry that I wasn’t that person for you. I truly wish you nothing but happiness, Kiyah. You deserve it more than you know. I’m sorry… for everything.
